DECLO – Juan Francisco Torrez Jr., 71, of Declo, Idaho, passed away on July 25, 2014.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Juan Francisco Torrez Sr.; and a sister, Beatrice Torrez.
He is survived by his beautiful family: his wife, Lydia C. Torrez; his only son, Eugenio (Sheila) Torrez and their two daughters, Nina and Leticia Torrez., his eldest daughter, Ida (Erasmo) Rodriguez and their children, Freddy Rodriguez, Gina (Andy) Carlisle, and Alejandro (Jessie) Rodriguez; his daughter, Eva Torrez and her children, Kayla (Albert) Villagomez, and Isaiah Torrez; his youngest daughter, Suzie (Rick) Villasenor and their children, Alexus, Ricky, and Cristian Villasenor; his great-grandchildren, Kayson Vega, Isabella Rodriguez, Noah Carlisle, and Kali Villagomez; his mother, Sophia Torrez; his brothers and sisters, Manuel (Refugia), Reynaldo (Marina), Carmen (Raul) Silvaz, Margarita (Enemencio) Peralez, Julian (Lucia), and Lisa Torrez; as well as the entire Torrez family line.
Frank was not only a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather, but a best friend, perfect neighbor, and a hero to all who knew him. His selfless acts and amazing ability to make everyone he met feel special and welcome will be missed greatly and the memories cherished forever.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 802 F St., in Rupert, with the Rev. Father Francisco Godinez as celebrant. Burial will be in the Gem Memorial Gardens in Burley.
At Juan’s request, there will be no public viewing or visitation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
