Laramie Carson

BURLEY - Laramie Lars Carson was born Aug. 19, 1984, in Heyburn, Idaho to Layne and Linda Carson. Laramie passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014, at The Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley, Idaho from a heart aneurism.

When Laramie was born, he joined one older brother, Lance, and two older sisters, Lacey and Lisa. It wasn’t long before he became a big brother himself to his baby sister, Linzie. Together they all enjoyed a fun childhood growing up in Heyburn, Idaho. He was a good sport as his sisters would dress him up over and over again until his big brother taught him how to tease those sisters. Laramie loved adventure, and as a little boy, would often be found stomping around in his moon boots on top of the ant hills.

At the age of eight, Laramie lost his beautiful, caring mother to cancer. Laramie had a heart of gold, which he received from her. His family became closer and he learned at an early age how important his family was to him. One year later, his father remarried and he gained four more sisters to tease. The two families joined together in a little home in Declo, Idaho where he finished school and graduated from Declo High School in 2002.

Laramie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Laramie loved fishing, video games, and was often found watching cartoons with his sweet little nieces and hanging out with his nephews. He was “The Favorite Uncle”. He loved family get-togethers and making others laugh. Laramie had a great talent for cooking, but loved to trick his sisters into cooking for him. Laramie was a wonderful son and an amazing brother, friend, and uncle. He will be greatly missed.

Laramie was working at McCain Foods in Burley, Idaho and preparing to enroll in an electrical program in Pocatello.

Laramie was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Carson; his maternal grandparents, Sarah and Darrell Wodskow; his aunt Debbie Elison; and two uncles Ron and Jim Wodskow.

Laramie is survived by his father and step-mother, Layne and Deanna Carson; one brother, Lance Carson; sisters, Lacey (Lance) Morgan, Lisa (Chris) Taylor, Linzie Carson, Dalea Altmann, Jennifer (Thayne) Schafer, Sarah (Zach) Warner, and Brittney (Jordan) Byington; paternal grandparents, Larry and Delores Carson; nieces, Hailie, Zoey, Kailee, Sally, Rebekah and Daisy; nephews, Logan, Nathaniel, Carl, and Louis; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Declo LDS Stake Center, 213 W. Main St., in Declo, with Bishop Garth Searle officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:40 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

The family would like to thank the Cassia Regional Medical Staff for their loving care and all they did for Laramie.
