Anthony “Tony” Hart
BURLEY - Anthony “Tony” Wayne Hart, 72, of Burley, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014.
Tony was born to Edward Gammon Hart and Emma Lee Riddle on July 21, 1942, in Dupree, South Dakota. The family moved to Pendleton, Ore., in 1951, and later relocated to Burley, Idaho, in June of 1959, where he finished his senior year and graduated from Burley High School in 1960. He entered the United States Air Force in September of 1960 and received an honorable discharge in September of 1964. He continued on to attend Yuba College in Marysville, Calif., where he obtained an Associate of Arts in 1969.
Tony was known for his generosity, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone around him was well taken care of. He loved spending time with his family, especially spoiling his grandchildren. He would always make sure they received that “one” gift that they wanted for Christmas and he loved being involved with their extra-curricular activities. Tony also loved to work and used his brilliance to master any job that he performed. While he explored several different occupations, he spent the majority of his life as a general contractor.
Tony was preceded in death by his father; mother; and sister, Sharon Hayes. Tony is survived by son, Alan (Caprece) Hart of Diamond Bar, Calif.; daughter, Andrea Hart of Burley, Idaho; daughter, Lisa (Chad) Hart of Port Charlotte, Fla.; sister, Ann (John) Prideaux of Spokane, Wash.; sister, Joan (Jake) Harder of Ritzville, Wash.; sister, Mary Hart of Diamond Springs, Calif.; brother, Gil (Michelle) Hart of Spokane, Wash.; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at the First Baptist Church, 2262 Hiland Ave., in Burley. Military rites will be provided by the Mini-Cassia Veterans Organization. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to help with funeral costs in care of Rasmussen Funeral Home.
