BURLEY - Kenneth Alan Barras, 51, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014.
He was born on Sept. 21, 1963, in Rupert, Idaho, the son of Fred Arthur and Velda (Hunsaker) Barras. He graduated from Minico High School in 1981, and went on to earn a degree in aircraft mechanics from Idaho State University in Pocatello. He later enjoyed a successful career in farming. After retiring from farming, he went on to sell farming equipment. Ken loved to hunt, fish, and garden. However, what brought him his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his six grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his four children, Jessica (Dean) Burrows, Ryan (Sarah) Barras, Whitney (Brandon) Pelcher, and Natalie (Jeffrey) McHenry; his mother, Velda Barras; three brothers, Steve (Tamara) Barras, Dan (Candace) Barras, and Ron (Lisa) Barras; his loving life companion, Georgia Goodman; and his six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Barras.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the Rupert LDS West Stake Center, 26 S. 100 W., of Rupert, with Bishop Brad Wilson officiating.
Family and friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
