BURLEY - Marcelina G. Ochoa, 71, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, in her home.
Marcelina was born to Pedro and Guadalupe Gonzalez on Oct. 16, 1943, in Greeley, Colo., where she continued to live until meeting Lazaro Ochoa whom she married and had four kids. Her family traveled seasonally for work. They started in Colorado, Minnesota, Texas, and Mexico. After traveling most of their lives, they decided to make their home in Burley, Idaho. Marcelina briefly worked at Ore-Ida, but decided to be a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, doing word searches, and fishing. She also enjoyed donating to people in need. Marcelina loved spending time with her family - especially on holidays.
Marcelina is survived by her four children, Janie Gonzalez, Michael Ochoa (Carly), Robert Ochoa (Dixie), and Albert Ochoa; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Marcelina was preceded in death by her mother and father; four brothers; and her husband.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at the St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 1601 Oakley Ave., in Burley, with the Rev. Father Julio Vincente as celebrant.
A viewing will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from10 until 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Marelina will be laid to rest in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.
