Lois Cole Rasmussen
DECLO – Lois Cole Rasmussen, an 89 year-old Declo resident, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at the Countryside Care and Rehabilitation Center, in Rupert.
Lois was born July 22, 1925, in Declo, to David and Sylvia Irene Ingram Cole. She was raised and attended school in Declo and lived in the Declo area all of her life. She married Carl Alfred Rasmussen in 1946. Lois and Carl were married for 55 years.
Lois worked at Ore-Ida Foods for 30 years before she retired. She loved spending time with family and friends, gardening, and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; five brothers, Claude, Charlie, Leo, Duane and Shorty; and one sister, Florence Bessie Cole Jones.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianne (Barry) Redman; her grandson, Mike (Wendie) Redman; her granddaughter, Misty (Paul) Steele; and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Harvey Cole; and her two sisters, Cleo (Lowell) Beckstrand and Kathryn Anderson;
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where friends may call from 10 until 10:45 a.m. preceding the services. Burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, in Albion.
