BURLEY - Darlene Fay Weber, 70, of Burley, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Darlene was born Jan. 18, 1945, in Rupert, Idaho, the daughter of Richard Harold and Elsie May (Harris) Jacobsen. She attended grade school in Acequia, and, after her family moved to the Unity District in Burley, Darlene completed her education at Burley High School. Later in life, she took classes through the College of Southern Idaho.

She married Gene Weber on Oct. 21, 1961, in Burley. Together, they had three children, Terry, Roxie and DeVon. Darlene worked a short time for the United States Soil Conservation. She was then privileged to be a stay-at-home mom and was able to work side-by-side with her husband on their farm. For the past 20 years, she and Gene owned and operated Ultrasonic Blind Cleaning. This venture produced lifelong friends as they assisted the community with window coverings for their homes, churches, and businesses.

She was a member of the Burley United Methodist Church and the PEO. She liked to garden, enjoyed traveling and country music, and, loved playing golf. However, most important to Darlene was her family. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gene Weber of Burley; her children and their spouses, Terry and Charles Gransbury of Kimberly, Roxie and Steven Tibbets of Boise, and DeVon and Sara Weber of Filer; four grandchildren, Kenneth Charles (Jennifer) Gransbury, Scyler Levi Gransbury, Jordan Weber, and Caitlin Weber; two great-grandchildren, Lilly Becerra and Malachi Ryan Gransbury; one brother, Kay Jacobsen of Mountain Home; her beloved sister, Juanita (Farrell) Kerbs; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Jacobsen of Twin Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Darwin Jacobsen and Richard Jacobsen.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 26, at the United Methodist Church, 450 E. 27th St., in Burley, with the Rev. Scott Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Paul Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church.
