BURLEY - Mikel Clain Stuart, 54, of Burley, died Thursday, April 30, 2015.
He was born Feb. 3, 1961, in Burley, Idaho, the son of Earl Clain Stuart and Ruth Deloris Olson Stuart. He attended Overland and Miller grade schools, East Minico and West Minico junior high schools, and completed his education at Minico High School. Mike loved being around his friends and family and received great satisfaction in helping others in any way possible. He liked the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. In his younger years, he attended Burley First Christian Church. He believed in and had great faith in God.
Mike is survived by his father, Earl C. (Mary) Stuart of Montana; his mother, Ruth D. Rowley of Rupert; one brother, Randy J. (Gloria) Stuart of Burley; four stepsisters, Lorena (Dennis) Hughes, Teresa Kellem, Jeri Moomaw, and DeAnn Holland; a stepbrother, Glen J. (Sherri) Rowley; a half-brother, Charlie Stuart; a half-sister, Lisa Drinnen; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; his dear friend, Janie Martinez; and his faithful buddy and best friend - his dog, Benny.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; two stepfathers; and an uncle, Oscar “Swede” Olson.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 7, at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Thursday prior to the service. Officiating will be Pastor Ray Herd. Burial will follow in Rupert Cemetery.
