She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she served faithfully in the Relief Society, Young Womens, Primary, and Scouting.

Renee contributed to her community by serving in the Albion Quick Response Unit, the Book Club, and the Domestic Dutchesses. In her spare time, she liked to crochet, knit, quilt, paint, cook, watch sports, travel, work on “fixer-upper” projects, and spend time with her grandchildren.

She maintained a positive attitude throughout life and was always friendly and smiling. She loved to serve and bring joy to others. She worked hard during her time here and endured faithfully to the end.

She is survived by her children, Darren Smyer of Albion, Roxanne (Lawrence) Gillette of Declo, Rick (Cindy) Smyer of Mackay, Dennie (Natalie) Smyer of Springdale, Heather (Jeff) Crumley of Dallas, Texas, Heidi (Bob) Riter of Ammon, Camille (Chad) Jensen of Blackfoot, Brook (Stacy) Holtman of Malta, and Lottie (Dustin) Wixom of Blackfoot; 31 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Olin (Bette) Eames of Burley; sisters, Joan (Alma) Turner of Declo; Sandy (Roy) Rose of Scottsdale, Ariz; and Leslie Ramey of Ketchikan, Alaska.
