He and Deanna had their only son, Robert Clarence Davis, who was his pride and joy. The three of them moved to Fayetteville where Robert worked for Taylor Auto & Truck Salvage and Rebuilders. They later moved to Rosebud, S.D., because Deanna went to work for the Indian Health Service. He was able to stay at home spending time with their son and enjoying teaching him how to hunt. After being transferred to Ada, Okla., he went to work for Lahoma Trucking. They then returned to Fayetteville and worked for Layfayette Ford and later for Rocket Auto parts.
Robert made a life-long friendship with employer and owner, Billy Smith. He took a job with a company overseas in Saudia Arabia as an equipment installer for hospitals being built for King Fahd.
