BURLEY - Robert A. Burton, 61, went to be with the Lord Dec. 1, 2015, following a brief illness. He was born in Burley, Idaho, to George & Anna Lee Burton, joining a brother, Terry. They were later joined by a third brother, Tim; and a step-sister, Shelley and step-brother, Jeff.
Bob spent his life farming, first with his dad and later for J & R Farms of Burley, where he will be greatly missed.
A very quiet, private man, he accepted the Lord in 1979 and that relationship was reflected in his daily life.
With LaQuita, his wife of 36 years, he raised four children and touched the lives of numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws, out-laws and bonus kids, grandkids and great-grandkids, Bob loved being a grandpa and getting the opportunity to spend time with his youngest granddaughter, she lit up his life.
He is survived by his wife, LaQuita; children, Kelly, Katie (Travis), Lacey, Andy (Jacki); six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Terry and Tim along with their families; and Shelley and Jeff along with their families; and many extended family members and faithful friends.
At his request, there will be no formal services. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Arrangements with cremation have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
