From Debbi Markland Marquez:
I have such cherished memories of my Aunt Nadine and Uncle Larry. I often felt a little intimidated at Grandma Markland's house with all those stern adults, but Aunt Nadene and Uncle Larry always made me feel loved, accepted and comfortable. Just a hug or that tilt of the head and a (slightly mischievous) smile from Aunt Nadine and I was a happy kid! She would often invite me to sit on her lap while she stroked my hair. And Uncle Larry was always ready to play! Once on a spur of the moment visit to their home, we were welcomed with open arms and my kids were treated just like they were some of the grand kids. My now grown children still remember that visit fondly. I love my Aunt and Uncle and will forever appreciate what they gave to my life.

From Dena (Haynes) Turley:
I am torn between utter joy for the two of them to be able to go together, and be so ready to go, seeing Jennifer again (and my mom and grandma and grandpa), and empathy for the sorrow you all must be feeling.
Nadine has always been like an idol to me - always an image of kindness and love. I remember being in her room when she was a teenager, and still have the little pendant she gave me from her collection. I remember being a bridesmaid at their wedding. I remember meeting Jennifer not long before her fateful surgery. And I remember the welcome we always received when stopping to visit. They truly were called to fulfill a mission - just a little harder to visit than Palmyra.
Love you guys!!!
