RUPERT – Paul Delbert Morrison, a 61-year-old resident of Rupert, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, after a long battle with MS, followed by COVID pneumonia. His family would like to thank Countryside Care & Rehab and Dr. Swensen for their loving care.

Paul was born September 15, 1959, to Bill and Norma Morrison and lived in the Mini-Cassia area.

Paul went hard in everything he did. He never ever waited for tomorrow. He played hard, worked and loved hard. He had a deep love for gardening and cheese burgers. He lived his life to the very end on his terms doing what he wanted. He was kind of stubborn that way. He decided it was time to move on; he had more stuff to do. At Paul’s wishes he wants ALL of you to play Led Zepplin, “Stair Way to Heaven” as loud as you can. He had a very deep love for music. He could tell you everything about any band. His favorite things were hunting, fishing, camping, and listening to loud music.

Paul married Valerie, and they later divorced. Born to this union were two loving children, Audrey and Trevor. He is survived by his children; his grandkids, Leah and Luke; his parents; his siblings, Susan (Scot) Campbell, Joe (Carolyn) Gribble, Jim Morrison, and Mary (Lony) Corr; and his nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn.

A live webcast of the Graveside Service will be available at the following link: https://youtu.be/cfv6ZlxRBpQ.

When I think of my memories of Paul as I child, what stands out most is his intense eyes. When he looked at you, he really looked. And he didn't miss much of anything. My condolences to his family. May you take solace in memories and joy in the fact that he can now dance with the angels.

From Shawna Wolf:
Paul or (Splurge) as his friends called him was one of the nicest people that his friends ever knew. I have such fond memories of Splurge loading up his car with me, my sister and all of our friends and going to concerts. Splurge not only had the biggest and loudest car stereo in town but he also had the biggest and kindest heart and he will be greatly missed and remembered always. Whenever we hear "Stairway to Heaven" which was his favorite song, we will always think of him. Sending heartfelt condolence to his dear and sweet family.
From Cindy Hanks:
I have such fond memories of Paul when we were kids. The Morrison family lived at the end of our "block" on North Miller in Burley. I will never forget Paul crashing mine and Susan's music sessions when we practiced for band. Fly high into your next adventure, Paul. God bless the fa.ily you leave behind for now.
From Cleo Gallegos:
Bill, Norma and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Cleo & Richard Gallegos and family
From Barbara and Larry Morrison:
Barbara and I have fond memories of Paul over the years including fishing trips, middle fork of Salmon rafting and family reunions. He showed me how to "set the hook" so they would not get away. He always had a smile and pleasant demeanor for us and our family. He is surely missed.
