David Joe Hutcherson

David Joe Hutcherson

Mar. 1, 1956 - Jun. 29, 2021

David Joe Hutcherson, a 65-year-old Burley resident, passed away peacefully at his home that he shared with his girlfriend Londa Craven on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.

David was born March 1, 1956, in Marshfield, Missouri, the first of four children born to Billy Joe Hutcherson and Bertha Marie Creekmore. Though his death was unexpected, he had not been felling well for over a year.

David wanted to be remembered while he was still living and for this reason, he chose not to have a funeral. Upon his wishes he wanted to be cremated and to have his ashes spread at Eagle Rock, where he loved to fish. David’s brother, Danny, carried out his request and spread his ashes there. Another brother to David, Dale Hutcherson, saved some of his ashes and put them in a small beautiful urn for his girlfriend, Londa.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe and Bertha Marie Hutcherson; and his grandparents on the Hutcherson side; and his maternal grandparents, John and Maude Creekmore; and several other family members.

He leaves behind his longtime love of his life for over 20 years, Londa Craven; two brothers, Danny Hutcherson of Boise, and Dale (Melissa) Hutcherson of Walla Walla, Washington; and his sister, Debbie (Mike) Painter of Heyburn; several nieces and nephews, his closest being Amber Prewitt of Burley; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins, his closest being John Holcomb of Pocatello.

David loved the outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting. Once you got him on the river, good luck getting him to go home. David was an excellent artist and sport advocate.

“I thought of you today, but that is nothing new,
I though about you yesterday and days before that too.
I think of you in silence, I often speak your name,
All I have are the memories and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is a keepsake from which I’ll never part.
God has you in his arms, I have you in my heart.”

David’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.

David, I think if you often. You were my protector when I was small. You always took me hunting with you. I still remember falling in the river while duck hunting during a snowstorm. You pulled out and said to me "man up, we just got started ". I've always tried to be the best man I could be, and a lot of that is due to you. Give our family my love. I will see you all when I come home. Love you brother.
From Lincoln Harris :
Life-long friendships are rare. I am blessed to have been a part of not only one- but two. And those two happen to have been brothers. David, Danny, Linc: you will be hard pressed to find 3 men whose lives over 50 years of friendship meshed. I miss you my brother. Danny and I will continue to look for you at our fishing spots and to hear you yell "fish on!!". Give my family my love until I can finish my journey here.
From Cory Stanger:
David I miss you and wish we could have gone fishing together one more time like we talked about for years. Thank you for always calling me when you did and checking on me to see how I was doing. You were a good friend. Much Love Brother

I cry myself to sleep each night hugging your pillow and covered up with your quilt. I do feel like your here like when the locked front door opened a couple weeks ago and again last night. I still and always will kiss you goodnight and tell you how much I love you. And I will continue to until we're together again
