Kathleen Widmier "Sis"

Mar. 22, 1949 - Oct. 28, 2021

Date of Service: Nov. 8, 2021

BURLEY – Kathleen Widmier, known to all who loved her as “Sis,” passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on October 28, 2021, at the age of 72.

Sis was born in Rupert, Idaho, on March 22, 1949, to loving parents, Robert Oliver Widmier and Thelma Sanford Widmier. Sis enjoyed and attended MDC Magic Valley Development Center for many years. There she made dear friends with fellow students, teachers, and caregivers. Sis enjoyed collecting baseball caps, dolls, and loved bowling with her friends. She adored being with her family, including her eight siblings, their spouses, and a host of nieces and nephews. Sis especially loved attending family dinners, parties and reunions and was beloved by everyone she met. Her sweet spirit and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her caring parents, Bob and Thelma; and siblings, Kirk (Lois), Mike, Shery, Sheryll (Larry), and Bobby (Diane); sister-in-law, Debra (David); nephew, Cyrus; and niece, Sabrina.

Surviving family includes brothers, David, Dennis, and Craig (Liza); sisters-in-law, Diane (Bobby), and Lois (Kirk); brother-in-law, Larry (Barbara); and many nieces and nephews.

Although she will be greatly missed, we know that she is enjoying a wonderful reunion with her loved ones who have gone on before. Our dear Sis has been freed from all her physical limitations while here on earth. A sincere appreciation goes to full-time caregiver, Jane Searle, and assistant, Michelle Dickson.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 8, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where family and friends will be received from 10 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Paul Cemetery.
