From Leon Clegg:
Lots of memories about Earl when I was a young boy growing up. He worked for my father at the gas station so my parents could have a couple days off. It was in the 60’s. He remained friends with our families for the rest of our lives. He was such a hard worker, but even more important from what I remember is he was such an honest man and a friend to all. I also remember his big smile. He was and will be a forever friend to the Clegg family. The gas station was Cleggs service. Located at 600 Overland Ave. may God pour out his spirit on each member of the Martinez family and give you comfort. And that you will someday be reunited with Earl. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

From Josie Carrillo:
To my loving grandfather. I have had such a great honor of knowing you. I remember when you and grandma would take us to Spanish mass when we had no clue of understanding, but I sure knew every song, when to knell,, stand up, and when to give the sign of the cross.. Best part was when we gave hugs,, hand shakes,, and told everyone May God go with you. The lord is for sure someone I do my best to follow. You helped grandpa in this. Thank you for always loving me and my family when mom left us to the heavens, and doing the work of our father . Thanks to everyone who is helping with putting my grandpa to rest. You are all a blessing.
RIP Grandpa Earl
love, Your granddaughter Josie fm Texas
