HEYBURN - Rachel Rangel, age 46, of Heyburn, passed away, Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022, at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah.

Rachel was born May 22, 1975, to Damasio and Alejandra (Galindo) Rangel in Nampa, Idaho. Rachel’s early years were spent with her family in Caldwell, Idaho. After the family moved to the Burley, Idaho area , Rachel attended school at Southwest Elementary, Mountain View Elementary, and Burley Jr. High for a short time. The family eventually moved to Heyburn, Idaho where Rachel continued her education at West Minico Middle School and graduated from Minico Senior High School in 1995. Rachel also attended a vocational school in Marsing, Idaho where she completed a certificate in Business Administration.

Rachel was once employed at the Pancake House, Best Western, and King’s of Burley. At the time of her passing she was employed at Maverick Fuel Stop in Burley. Rachel enjoyed being with family and friends. Whenever she spent time with friends she always made them feel special, as if they were her family. Family was something Rachel cherished. She enjoyed seeing her aunts, uncles, and cousins. She always tried her hardest to attend every family function she could and always made sure to take our mother with her. Rachel always did her very best to take care of our mother, never questioning her responsibility to her. Rachel loved all her nieces and nephews. Rachel had a special place in her heart for her niece Gabrielle, and a very special bond with her nephew Michael.

Rachel is survived by her mother, Alejandra Rangel, of Heyburn; her brothers, and sisters, Angela (Jerry) Rangel Reed, Livingston, California, Julie Rangel, Ogden, Utah, Kristine (Jaime) Lopez, Heyburn, Idaho, Pedro (Yolanda) Rangel, Nampa, Idaho, Damasio “Junior” (Ruby) Rangel Jr., Boise, Idaho, Gracie (Juan) Solano, Logansport, Indiana. To her Family and Friends, remember that she cherished that time she spent being with
you, listening and laughing. And a special thank you to those who were with her during her last
moments on earth.
