I have many pleasant memories of LaMar and Joann and their friendship since 9th grade. Rook games, sports, double dates, car races through the cemetery after Firesides, College roommate, Missions, raising our families, we were able to keep up our friendship after I moved to California in 1978 with occasional visits and School reunions. Was able to attend LaMar's service, attempted to visit Joanne in Utah in March but was unable to find their house in Linden and Lamars phone number still in my phone didn't work. Will be in Burley Monday, too late for JoAnn's service. Know of our appreciation and friendship, we Love and respect your family. Well done LaMar and Joanne.

From Byoung Wook So (Sammy):
JoAnn and Lamar were the perfect examples who showed the love of Jesus Christ to many young people who were from foreign countries in Sydney, Australia during their mission.
My friends and I miss the time a lot with Sister and Elder Hurst in Sydney.
We love Sister Hurst and Elder Hurst so much. They welcomed me and my friends always and taught us the gospel and English so that we were able to survive in a difficult time.
I would like to express special gratitude to Darla for being with Joann and Lamar at the end of their lives.
God bless JoAnn, Lamar and the family.
From Chris Parker :
I have so many wonderful memories of “Mom” Hurst. She became my second mom the first time I met her when I was five years old and hanging out with Vernal. I am so sad that she has left this earth but I know she is with her loving Heavenly Father . I hope the family can find peace during this difficult time.
From Darrell and Ruth Spendlove:

From Denny Davis - Oakley Idaho:
To the children: Your parents were pure, kind, and completely dedicated to Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, to family and to fellowmen. They always sought guidance from the Holy Ghost. I loved them.
