From Doug Clements:
Bud, we were away on vacation and I couldn't believe it when I read this in our retired newsletter. You know I thought the world of Steph and I can't imagine the loss you feel. She was not only one of our very finest dispatchers and supervisors, but she was also a thoroughly decent and loving human being. I cherish the years we worked together. Lots of stress, but plenty of laughs to go with it. We have all lost a very bright light in our lives, but most especially you.
From Ronald G VanRaaphorst:
Dear Bud, The lives of so many people were enriched by Stephany. Like so many people, I am at a loss for words.
I was so thankful to be able to speak with her last month and hear her laughter one last time. Please know your support group is as large as the number of people who loved her. She will remain in our hearts and memories forever.
From Trela Ernst:
Bud I am very sorry to hear about Stephs passing. I Remember the good times my sister Norene and I had with both of you when we visited while both of you lived in San Diego. I remember your dog Bart how he would embarass Steph by peeing when he would get excited She is at peace no more suffering, shineing down on all of us.
From Jan:
Dear Bud...I am so sorry you have lost your Stephanie. You two were great friends to Steve & I. We know she is well now since her footprints have left Mother Earth. She is the brightest star in the sky now & surrounded by her loved ones...including the Evans. She is at peace now. Bless you both..Love & Hugs, Jan & Steve

From Gary Haigh:
A distinct voice of calm on the radio when I was in patrol. Often times when I was a supervisor in homicide, I could count on her to get what I needed quickly, with a short phone call, and sometimes before I even knew I need it. Her talent lives on in the legacy she left at the Sheriff's Communications Center.
From Rick Arias :
