KIMBERLY – Mark Edwin Stevens, a 63-year-old resident of Kimberly, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with kidney failure on the 18th of November 2022.

He was born in Jerome, Idaho, on the 11th of February 1959. He grew up in Brigham City, Utah. He was a member of the NJROTC while in high school. He graduated from Box Elder High School in 1977. This is where he met his future wife, dating her for five years before marrying her in the Logan Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on September 21, 1979.

They moved to Twin Falls where Mark worked for Arrington Brothers Construction. Following his employment with Arringtons, he worked for OK Tires and later for United Oil while attending school for law enforcement. He worked for Twin Falls County, first as a jailor, then serving civil papers, and returned to a jailor where he became a sergeant. He was loved by the in-mates, but was respected also.

After the birth of their fourth child, he completed his work in law enforcement and began employment at Cleary Building Corporation driving the drilling rig. He later drove the truck that delivered materials and, eventually, became plant manager. Due to health issues, his career path changed again and he started driving truck for Sunrise Express where he had a clean driving record with no accidents for 13 years. He worked for Pullin Post & Sawmill for years and became best friends with both father and son for years to come.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Edwin Stevens and Joan Young; his grandparents, Frank Edwin Stevens and Hazel Amelia Wells, and Ernest Lorenzo Young and Edythe Pearl Watts; two sisters, Debra Stevens and Karen Joann (Potter) Stevens; and several uncles and aunts.

He is survived by his wife, Ruthan (Heiner) Stevens; his sons, Mark Anthony Stevens and his wife, Deanna (Taylor) Stevens, and Joseph Edwin Stevens and Donald Lorenzo Stevens; one daughter, Kristina Ann Stevens and her husband, Chris Gardner; eight grandchildren; brother, Harold Dwight Stevens; and sisters, Sherri Diane Stevens-Rushing, and Roseann Stevens-Henderson.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 23709 Hwy. 30, in Murtaugh, where family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, November 21, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral on Tuesday.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, at Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Wyoming.
