Ramón M. Loya

Jan. 3, 1945 - Nov. 21, 2022

Date of Service: Nov. 30, 2022

BURLEY – Ramón M. Loya, 77, of Chihuahua Mexico, died November 21, 2022, at his home in Burley, Idaho, with his loving wife at his side.

Don Ramón was born January 3, 1945, in La Boquilla, Gran Morelos, Chihuahua to parents Esduardo and Maria Loya. He grew up happy, healthy and hardworking in the rancho. At the tender age of 16 young Ramón immigrated north seeking an opportunity to carve his own life path, forging what would become lifelong friendships along the way.

Finally, in February of 1977 he found exactly what he was looking for, his purpose. He found and fell in love with the woman he would call his wife for the rest of his life, Mildred Gallegos, El Amor de su Vida. Not only was he blessed with a beautiful wife, he had the privilege of raising and loving her 2 year old daughter, Candy Gallegos as his own. Mildred says it was love at first sight when he met Candy. It wasn’t long before Mildred blessed Don Ramón with his first and eldest son, Ramón Esduardo Loya Jr. Their second son, Julian P. Loya was born a short 13 months later. For 45 years they built a strong and beautiful legacy together. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

After moving to Idaho in 1980 Ramón secured a position with Moyle Mink Farms and being the loyal and dedicated man he was spent the next 42 years working alongside Lee and Ryan Moyle as one of their most valuable and trusted employees. His last day on this earth was spent working on the farm. Don Ramón was the best example of a hard working, loyal and committed man you could have found in this world.

Don Ramón enjoyed a simple life. If he wasn’t working at the farm you would find him at home enjoying a home cooked meal, watching baseball, boxing and WWE Wrestling or working in his garden alongside his wife. Later in life you would find Ramón enjoying warm summer nights on the patio with his daughter Candy; friend and son-in-law Pablo; granddaughter, Alexis and many many friends and neighbors.

His passing will be felt by many. Don Ramón is survived by his wife, Mildred Loya; and children, Ramon and Teresa Loya, Julian Loya, Candy Jimenez and Pablo Rivera, Cathy Herrera and Shirley Sanchez; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 3p.m., Wednesday, Nov 30th at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home located at 1350 East 16th St, in Burley. A viewing will be held from 5 until 7p.m. Tuesday, Nov 29th at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home. Friends and Family are invited to enjoy dinner after the service at The Dime located at 215 W 13th Street in Burley, Idaho.
