BURLEY – Bob F. Hissung, a 92-year-old resident of Burley, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Parke View Rehabilitation and Care Center.
He was born as Bobby Frankie Hissung on February 14, 1931, in Eden, Idaho, the son of John and Pauline Steinmetz Hissung. He attended school at Greenwood Elementary School and completed his education in Hazelton. He married Sharon LaRue Pfeifer on May 2, 1964, in Elko, Nevada. They have resided in the Mini-Cassia area all of their married life. Bob passions were trucking, fishing, and camping with family.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sharon of Burley; two sisters, Shirley Solace of Eden, and Dorothy Butler of Jerome. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Juanita Louder; and his brother, George Hissung.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, at First Baptist Church, located at 2262 Hiland Ave., in Burley, with Pastor Cory Zanotti officiating. Urn placement will follow at Sunrise Columbarium, located at Paul Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.
