Reymundo Lara

Dec. 18, 1977 - Jul. 8, 2023

BURLEY – Reymundo Lara, a 45-year-old resident of Burley, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Portneuf Regional Medical Center, in Pocatello.

Reymundo was born December 18, 1977, in Rupert, Idaho, to Maria and Aurelio Lara. He was raised in Burley, where he met and married the love of his life, Christina Martinez, in 1995. Together they had two children. His greatest blessings in his life were his family. The day he became a "Papa" to his first grandchild was the greatest day of his life. Being a grandfather meant the world to him.

Reymundo was truly an outdoorsman. He loved fishing , hunting, and anything else to do with outside. He loved building and making things come together. He often helped others in any way he could. If he knew you needed help, he was always there to lend a hand. He will forever be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and a nephew, Brendon Lara.

He is survived by his wife, Christina Lara of Burley; his son, Reymundo Lara Jr. of Wendover, Nevada; and his daughter, Elise ( Brandon) Gratzer; and her daughter, Onyx, and son, Jasper, all of Burley; as well as his siblings, Tom (Isidra) Lara of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Hector (Susie) Lara and Gilbert (Anna) Lara both of Burley, Jose and Cruz Lara of Boise, Carlos Lara of Twin Falls, Elizabeth (Auerlio)Anguiano of California, Gabriel Lara of Burley, and Aidan Lopez of Pocatello; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Reymundo's wishes there will be a private ceremony for the family to take place at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.
