Service Program

PAUL – Cadence Jean Eastin, 8, of Paul, Idaho, peacefully entered Heaven on September 9, 2023, after being struck by a falling tree in her sleep while camping near Pine, Idaho. From the happy day her mother miraculously delivered surprise twins, to the mournful day of her sudden departure from this life, Cadence glowed with a joy and pleasantness which reverberated in the lives of all her large family. She reveled in joyful child play with her siblings but also displayed a unique kinship for adults which often found her talking, cuddling, and connecting with adults she did not always even know well. Finding a special delight in babies from her toddler years, Cadence packed, played with and cooed over any baby within her reach. She had another great fondness for animals and especially the loyal family dog, Sybil, whose death resulted from the fall of the same tree which took Cadence. Faithful to her last moment, Sybil guarded the door of the family tent, and it is a comfort to the family to know that she is with Cadence still.

Cadence is survived by her father, Quinn Michael Eastin; mother, Natasha Pearce Eastin; brothers, Quinn Mckay, Banner Pratt, Shannon Ladd; and sisters, Genesis Cate, Avonlea Joy, Lemlea Rain; identical twin sister, London Natasha; grandparents, Eric and Robyn Eastin and Shannon and Katie Pearce; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Clinging to warm memories and the sure hope of a happy resurrection and reunion, Cadence’s family and friends join to mourn her loss.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 16, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Rupert West Stake Center, located at 26 S. 100 W. Rupert, Idaho. A viewing will be held at the church from 1 to 1:45 preceding the funeral service.

Family and friends will also be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, September 15, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.

Sending our love and condolences to your sweet family. Natasha was a good friend to me in Vancouver and helped me feel less overwhelmed with my two kids when she handled all her small kids so well, including those cute baby girls. Thinking about you guys and praying for your peace and comfort.
From McKay Heasley:
I only knew Cadence as an infant but the Eastin family was one of the great families of the McGloughlin ward in Vancouver Washington when we lived there. I remember when Natasha was pregnant and she didn't know she had twins. As my wife was also pregnant, I compared the size of their bellies and said something like, "Are you sure you're not having twins" My wife gave me a look of horror that those words came out of mouth. I felt vindicated when those beautiful surprise twins shocked everyone.

We love you Quinn and Natasha. Our prayers are with you and your family and our hearts ache for you.
