Service Program

PAUL – Richard Karl Hall, 62, of Paul, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at his home in Paul, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born November 16, 1960, in Pocatello, Idaho, to William Karl Hall and Jeanne Arlene Richmond, however, when he was a young boy, Billy Jean Critchfield married his father and took on the role as his mother for the remainder of his life here on Earth.

Richard was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. He made an impression on everyone he met and was loved by everyone who knew him.

He was an avid sports fan and loved anything and everything Denver and Boise State Broncos.

Richard worked for Kloepfer Concrete for the last six years. He took pride in his work and always showed up an hour early to make sure his truck was polished. His coworkers could always tell it was him coming down the road because his truck was the shiniest one in the yard.

He is survived by his mom, Billy Jean Hall; his wife, Kathie Sue Boyden-Hall; his brother, William (Kristy) Hall, his sister, Dawn Brown; his children, Jeff Hall, Karie McGuire, Jessica (Brad) Clark, Carrie (Val) McArthur, Rachel Keller (Dusty Liddle), Angela Hall (Zac McQuillan), Joshua (Tristan) Hall, TaSheena Hall (Steven Zajic), Conner (Brittney) Boyden, and Mandy Kaminski; 30 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, William Karl Hall; his biological mother, Jeanne Arlene Richmond; his brothers, Randy Hall and Lloyd Gale, his sister, Kelly Robins; two grandsons, Jadin Skyler Keller-Liddle and Breyden Don Trujillo; and one great-granddaughter, Elly Brey Trujillo.

The family would like to thank his medical team and Visions Home Care for taking such great care of him these past six months and Kloepfer Concrete for their dedication and always being there and checking in on him through this difficult time.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where family and friends will be received from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.

From Kristy Hall:
I remember meeting Richard for the first time, not too long before I married his brother, and having him in our home many times after that. I loved watching the two brothers banter back and forth (though I learned REALLY quickly to never take them into a Bath and Body Works unless I was ready to be super embarrassed LOL).
I grew to love Richard just like my own brother and will miss him terribly, but have hope that we will meet again in heaven.
From Robyn E.:
Rick and Kathy were my neighbors for years on the corner in the White House next to mine. I got to know them pretty good and loved them both dearly. Rick helped me whenever he could or thought I needed a hand mowing lawn getting gravel for driveway. Always both were offering a helping hand, love and support whenever. Rick was a honest stand up guy that lived his wife dearly and they were a great couple. Soulmates for sure. Rick u will be missed by myself and granddaughter and family that knew you. They all knew you from the nice things you did for me and the kind words I spoke of you both. Rest in peace my friend. Sad to see you go. Much love to you and Kathy. I love you Kathy and and my prayers go out to u and all the family. I'll see you on the other side buddy.
From Eddy Heisel:
The past six years have been a great experience working with Rick. I have missed pulling into the truck yard and not seeing him shining his truck, with 80's hard rock music playing in the background. An exceptional driver and equipment operator, there wasn't anything Rick couldn't do. I will always miss hearing the phrase Ricky used when we were asphalt paving. "BURNING DIRT".
My prayers go out to the entire Hall family, God Bless.
From Greg Layos:
Rick worked for me for many years. He was a hard worker that I could always depend on. I know he took great pride in his work, it was always a pleasure to work with him. My condolences to his family & friends, you are in my thoughts. Greg Layos

It was an honor being your wife. Thank you for showing me patience and unconditional love. You were my rock, and I feel so shatterd. I love you babe. Rest in piece, and I look forward to seeing you again over and over in my dreams until my final breath.

Rachel & Karie…..Please know despite time and distance, I have the best memories of you both when you were students at Westridge. I must imagine your Father has always been proud of you and your successes in life. I’m thinking of you, with fond remembrance and always with a smile. Mary Bakke Horton
From Nancy Draper:
We all played together when we were young on our Heyburn block.
