OAKLEY – Marsha Buckley Kenner, a 74-year-old resident of Oakley, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

She was born February 26, 1950, in Rupert, Idaho, to Delbert Call and Dorothy Garner Buckley. All who knew her loved her, and she was known for her kindness, selflessness, and devotion to those around her. Very few people possess the pureness and goodwill that she had. She never had anything bad to say about others and accepted everyone with open arms.

She had a beautiful smile (biggest when holding a grandchild or a fresh catch), and her hugs were a great comfort to her loved ones. Her love was all encompassing and unconditional.

Marsha loved the outdoors, spending the last years of her life in Oakley with a beautiful view of mountains and sunsets. She loved to hunt, fish, sightsee, and spend what time she could in nature.

She had seven children but raised and loved her stepchildren as her own, 30 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren - each of whom felt they were her favorite.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Kenner; her children, Lorrie (Jeff) Brown, Jennifer (Pete) Terry Shadden, Travis Terry, Brad (Jenni) Terry, Amanda (Jeff) Sherrod, Emily (Jay) Waters, and Nicki Terry; her stepchildren, Steve (Joni) Klamm, Heather (Eric) Christensen, Mike Jr., John, Tammy, David and Sarah; her stepfather, Robert Merrell; her siblings, Teresa (Milo) Hatt,
Kirk (Debbie) Buckley, Stan (Denice) Buckley, and Rita (Todd) Petersen; and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her grandchild, Tyrel Pethtel; her parents, Delbert (Irene) Buckley and Dorothy Merrell; her sister-in-law, Brenda Buckley; and a brother-in-law, Mitch Allred.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Jackson Ward (formerly known as the Rupert Idaho Stake Tabernacle) located at 806 G Street, in Rupert. Burial will follow at Rupert Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th Street, in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Monday, preceding the funeral, at the church.

I have had the privilege of knowing Marsha for 37 years, a number that I wish could have been much longer. Marsha was a beautiful mother, who welcomed the friends of her children with open arms.
