BURLEY – Dale H. Christopherson, age 85, passed away quietly on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, in Rigby, Idaho.
He was born to Murdoth Hans and Isabelle Chadwick Christopherson as a twin on Aug. 26, 1926, in Hazelton, Idaho. He served in the United States Navy for two years with his twin brother Gale. He worked on the railroad as a telegrapher. He went on to get a degree and taught school at various levels as well as a principal and superintendent in Idaho, California, and Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Viola Patrick Christopherson; one daughter, Connie Gardner; and a grandson, Jason McKenzie.
Dale is survived by his children, Gayle Ann (Lee) Cook, Sharon (Steve) Bryant, Patricia (Greg) Pierce, Penny (Craig) Heiner, Lorraine (Ron) Rupper, and Heber and Patrick Christopherson; 38 grandchildren; and 74 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at noon Friday, Aug. 10, at the Burley LDS 2nd & 4th Ward Church, 515 E. 16th St., of Burley, where family and friends may call from 11 until 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery with military rites provided by the Mini-Cassia Veterans Organization.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
