RUPERT – William Allen “Bill” Timmons, a 70-year-old resident of Rupert, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025, at his home after a four-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Bill married Donna Jean Painter on December 28, 1979, which union lasted for 45 years. They had two children, Matthew (Gelina) Timmons of Rupert, and Marie (Wayne) Bendele of Rupert. Bill has been blessed with nine grandchildren. He also has three brothers, Tim (Ruth), David (Laurie), and Tom (Cecilia). He also is an uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Bill worked for Tri-Circle and then Amalgamated Sugar for 22 years as an electrician in the plant and in the AG. department until his retirement. He had his own electrical business for several years as well. After retirement he enjoyed spending time traveling with Donna and his family. They enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, working cows, farming, picking on the grandchildren, and attending their many activities.

We would like to thank the nurses who cared for Bill at St. Luke’s and Dr. Manning at the cancer center; also Minidoka Memorial Hospital, Visions Hospice, and Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, at First Christian Praise Chapel, located at 1110 8th St., in Rupert, with Pastor Rick Molina officiating. Burial will follow at Rupert Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and again on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
