HEYBURN – Glenna Loveless Ramsey, a 93-year-old resident of Heyburn, passed away at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, September 5, 2025.

She was born December 11, 1931, in Salmon, Idaho, to Curtis Gilbert and Rosa Elizabeth Hale Loveless; she was the fifth of nine children. She lived in Salmon and Blackfoot and moved to Burley just before her eighth birthday. Her parents bought the Latter-day Saints 3rd Ward building on Overland Avenue and converted it into their home, with the front serving them as different businesses over the following years. Glenna attended schools in Burley, where she met her future husband, Bill Ramsey. They were married in a double-wedding ceremony with Bill's brother, Bob, and his wife, Lillie. They went on to have six children, settling in Heyburn.

In 1968, after working in a nursing home, Glenna decided to go back to school and obtain her nursing degree. As a licensed practical nurse, Glenna worked at Cassia Memorial Hospital for several years. In 1972, She and Bill and their two youngest children, moved to Sandpoint, where Bill had accepted a job working for the State of Idaho as a meat inspector. Eventually they started their own successful meat-cutting business. Glenna worked at Bonner General Hospital, where she enjoyed working in obstetrics and delighted in teaching prepared childbirth classes to expectant parents.

In 1992, She and Bill moved back to the Heyburn area, where she continued working as a nurse for Minidoka County School District. Glenna served many church callings throughout her life. She especially enjoyed working with the youth and was a great influence to them, as they were to her. She also enjoyed working in the Relief Society sharing her talent of quilt making and her love of the gospel.

She is survived by five children, Richard “Dick” (Cindy) Ramsey of New Plymouth, Peggie (Chuck) Dunow and Patricia “Patty” (Rick) Pierson, both of Heyburn, Bill Glenn (Corinne) Ramsey of New Plymouth, and Barbra “Barbie” Jarvis of Buhl; one brother, Richard Loveless of Allen, Texas; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her much joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Ramsey; her parents; seven siblings; a daughter, Pamela Heberling; and a great-granddaughter, Aurelia Jarvis.

Even in her last days, Glenna was reminding all around her how blessed and grateful she was for the wonderful family and life she has had. She truly was an example and blessing to us all.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Horizon Home Health and Hospice, Shelby, Tara, Emily and Derik, for all their kindness, professionalism, and attention. They cared for all of us.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 13, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Heyburn 1st Ward, located at 530 Villa Drive, in Heyburn, with Bishop Jared Price officiating. Burial will be at Marion Cemetery in Oakley.

Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, September 12, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th Street, in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Saturday, preceding the funeral, at the church.

We love Glenna! She had a beautiful smile and a shining light in her eyes. All of our family are sad to know we won't see her again in this life. However we look forward to seeing her in the next. Our love and prayers are with all of you.
From Ken, Billie Rae DeNaughel Family & Leta Jackson:
To all the Ramsey family, may you know we are thinking of you all at this time. Glenna was such a happy person to be around, and it was always fun to be in the Ramsey home as I was growing up. It was just a fun place to go to get out on the farm and get into trouble. It was just girl fun! We miss those days and people that made them so special, but we can be with them again, forever with our Heavenly Father's Plan! Love to all!
From Leon and Dori Clegg:
Did not know Glenna as much, but I knew the Loveless family. What a great family. The Loveless family lived across the street from us on Overland when I was growing up. My dad and Glenna's dad, Curtis, were great friends and went fishing together. Their home was right next to my parents service station. Glenna looks so much like her mother. Our condolences to their families. I also know Richard very well and also Naomi. Great people and so many memories as a a child in the old neighborhood on the north side. May our Heavenly Father comfort each of you at this time and have a solid foundation of the eternal plan. All our love!
From Tif Lott:
Growing up, Glenna was an adopted grandma. She was always so positive and bubbly, making anyone who came into her home feel welcomed and loved!
From Cindy Bartlome:
I was fortunate to work with Glenna as our school nurse at Memorial School. She was always so kind and helpful, a pleasure to work with.
From Terry & Karla Barnes:
