BURLEY – It's with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Marco Polo Solis Martinez on November 28, 2025, at the age of 60.
Polo was born in Nuevo Ideal, Durango Mexico on June 11, 1965, to Camillo and Bernarda Solis. He was the second youngest of 12 siblings. Later on in life he moved to California where he met his wife, although they later divorced, he lovingly embraced the role of being a father to her son Jesse. During their marriage Polo had four children, Juan (Laura) Solis, Ashley (Scott) Melton, Jazmyn (Taylon) Solis, and Lourdes (Korbin) Higley.
Polo was such a kind and loving person. He was truly a kid at heart. Polo enjoyed watching action and old western movies. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawn. Polo loved talking on the phone with his children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Polo had 14 grandchildren who loved and enjoyed "Papa".
Polo's life was a testament to love, resilience and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Camillo; mother, Bernarda; sisters, Luly and Martha; and nieces and nephews. Although Polo is no longer with us, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in all those whose lives he touched.
