FRUITLAND – Col. DelReed Bergeson, 92, of Fruitland, Idaho, formerly of Burley, Idaho, died peacefully after a brief illness, on April 6, 2026 in Payette, Idaho.
DelReed was born on April 20, 1933, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Reed and Zola Bergeson. DelReed is survived by his wife of 73 yrs, Shareen (Cranney) Bergeson; his son, DelReed (Del) Bergeson, Jr.; his grandsons, Jordan Bergeson, Ryan Bergeson, Tyler Hadlock; four great-grandkids; and one great-great-grandson; as well as his half-sister, Bonnie Bergeson; half-brother, Walter Bradshaw; and half-sister, Garnett Fenton.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Bergeson; and his parents.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 20, at Burley United Methodist Church, located at 450 E. 27th St., in Burley, with Pastor Russ Rhodes officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.
Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.
