BURLEY – Reba Mae Meline, 75, was reunited with her Heavenly Father on April 11, 2026.
Reba was born on February 6, 1951, in Lamar, Missouri, to Charles Christopher Miller and Caroline Dolores Finch. She later made her home in Burley, Idaho, where she built a life centered on family, hard work, and community.
Reba worked at A&P in Burley. She later spent many years working at J.R. Simplot in Heyburn, Idaho, and also worked at Walmart in Burley. She was a hardworking person who took great pride in her accomplishments.
Reba was known for both her strong work ethic and her ability to enjoy life. She could often be found spending hours playing Pac-Man on the Atari without losing. Her home was a place of comfort and warmth, where the smell of fresh zucchini bread and other baked goods welcomed all who visited. She made sure no one ever left without a full meal.
She loved lively music, crafts, and creative hobbies. She made Care Bears for her children and even tried making Cabbage Patch dolls. Reba was also an avid collector of movies and music and enjoyed sharing laughter and lighthearted moments with others.
Reba had an entrepreneurial spirit and hosted Tupperware and Avon parties. She had a keen eye for a good deal, often finding treasures at garage sales and bringing them into her home, which reflected her fun and ever-changing style. She also hosted her own memorable garage sales and enjoyed the connections she made through them.
Reba taught her children the value of hard work and encouraged them to create their own lives with determination and independence.
She married Donald Carl Meline on March 30, 1981, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 22, 1991.
Reba is survived by her children, Jimmy Lee Hale Jr., Lisa Mae Meline, Nicholas Russell Meline, and Derek Carl Meline; several stepchildren who called her their second mom; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; and her canine companion, Abby.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Donald; her daughter, Stephanie Dawn Meline; her father, Charles; her mother, Dolores; her sisters, Carolyn Sue Thomson and Charlotte Diane Allen; her brother, Timothy Wayne Rector; and her beloved dog, Sophie.
A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon Friday, April 17, 2026, at Pleasant View Cemetery, located at 1645 East 16th Street, in Burley.
A viewing for family and friends will be held from 10:30a.m. until 11:30 a.m. prior to the graveside service at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 East 16th Street, in Burley.
