A man that would always take your call and talk about trucks, poltics or anything. Knowing Butch all my life from a child to now, Butch has always been one of the nicest man ever known. You will be truly missed.
From Stephanie Bessire Mecham:
Extending our deepest sympathy to the Schell family, especially to second cousins, Brenda, Brad, Nicki and Craig. Prayers for peace and comfort for all who mourn. I recall a time in the late 1970s, at my parent’s home in Rupert, when our car wouldn’t start. Butch and family were there. Butch jumped up to help my husband figure out the problem. On a holiday when there wasn’t any place open to fix the car, he called a parts dealer that could sell us the needed part. We were so appreciative. This little story is right in line with today’s wonderful tributes.
From Troy Emery:

Knowing Butch was a great pleasure. Pete and I only became friends with Butch and Paula on a Jeep adventure and that's all it took. He had an amazing smile and was just kind and fun to be with. From Sharon Haile:
I met Butch through my husband David Haile when Butch was part of the Rupert Sheriff Dept. David enjoyed his friendship with Butch since 6th grade in Minidoka that lasted sixty three years. David recalls he, Tee , and Butch would clean the Depot Grill Bar after hours and enjoyed playing pool their job was done. These three have been true friends for literally a lifetime. Butch was a polite man who always put others needs before his own. We enjoyed many jeeping trips in Arizona together. Butch and David recently would talk for hours about muscle cars, politics, car racing, and life. To Butch’s family that includes Paula and her family we send hugs and love from Yuma, Arizona. Sharon and David Haile
